Activities for September-National Drug and Alcohol Addiction Recovery Month

Drug Rehab Actively Combats Drug Abuse

Recovery month is upon us!   This is the time to create hope and inspiration for those already in recovery and to encourage those who need it to begin the journey.  It is also a time to bring home the message to our families and communities that effective drug prevention is the best assurance that we can create a drug free future for this civilization.

Narconon Drug Rehab of Georgia announced its plans and activities today for the month of September and is inviting anyone to participate.

Because Churches remain the voice of reason in most communities, Narconon Drug Rehab of Georgia sent thousands of drug information pamphlets to local churches to hand out to their parishioners during the month of September.

Public Service Announcements were sent to hundreds of radio stations to warn families about prescription drug abuse and to give hope to those who are already addicted.

Narconon Drug Rehab of Georgia is hosting a booth at a local county fair where an estimated 200,000 people are expected to be in attendance.   The kids that sign a drug free pledge will get a prize and any adults with substance abuse problems will learn that there is hope.

Mary Rieser, the Executive Director stated:  “Word of mouth is still the best way to get any message across.  We invite anyone who been successful in recovery to call us and tell us their story. We will pass along their success to others (providing anonymity of course), thus passing along their hope and joy.

"We will also provide speakers for local organizations, radio interviews and printed drug education pieces upon request.

"Narconon is the New Life Program.   This means hope of a new life not only for those who are seeking effective treatment but for those communities that have been heavily affected by drugs.

"Everyone knows that drug abuse is a severe problem in this society.  Most people have been personally affected themselves or through a family member or associate by drug addiction.  We don’t need to perpetuate this message.  The message that we want to tell the world that there is effective drug treatment and education available – there is hope.

"If we work together we can take our families and communities back.“

Narconon invites those who want to become part of a drug free coalition to call 1-877-413-3073.

Please call if you know someone in need of effective rehab.
