North Korea, playing in their second World Cup qualifying match, played to a 1-1 draw with South Korea, playing in their opening World Cup qualifying match, on Wednesday.
Hong Yong-Jo gave North Korea a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute when he scored on a penalty but there was little time to celebrate as South Korea tied the match 1-1 when Ki Sung-Yeung scored on a right-footed strike.
North Korea sits atop Group 2 play with 4 points having beaten United Arab Emirates in their opener.
