Joseph Carbone, President and Founder of Non-Profit Organization Eye Care 4 Kids, Interviewed on YourFindit

Joseph Carbone, President and founder of the non-profit organization Eye Care 4 Kids, recently completed an audio interview with YourFindit and discussed not only the recent developments within the organization but the goals he hopes to reach in the near future.

Over the past seven years Eye Care 4 Kids has provided more than 15,000 visually impaired and underserved children with optometric and optical services.  In 2006 the organization was presented the Community Service Award by Utah’s Salt Lake Chamber and has continued to grow with plans to take its mobile eyecare unit across the United States and provide vision care and glasses to one million children.

Carbone spoke of the tremendous need and importance of providing underserved children suffering from visual impairments with the proper eye care and glasses to ensure they don’t fall through the cracks in society.

With education a main focus of both Republican presidential nominee John McCain and Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, Carbone noted kids who suffer from visual impairments are often the ones that have the greatest difficulty in school.
