Workamper News Magazine for RVers Gets a Fresh New Look

Workamper News magazine, printed since 1987, unveiled bright new paper, a cleaner printing process, and more editorial than ever before for the September/October issue.

Workamper News magazine, printed bi-monthly by Workamper News, Inc. out of Heber Springs, AR, is much more pleasing to the eye after the upgrades to paper, printing and editorial.  Because of the switch from First Class Mail to Periodical rate, the company was able to finance the desired upgrades.

"The crispness of the photos and evenness of the printing gives a much more professional look to our magazine," said Steve Anderson, Editor.  "We have been working on updates to our web site for so long, we knew it was time to upgrade the magazine as well with new paper and a better printing process."

Another change for the magazine is the amount of editorial included in each issue. "This issue had five articles relating to Workamping topics or opportunities. Normally there's only one or two, so this is a definite upgrade!" said Jody Anderson, graphic designer on staff. "Another plus is that three of the articles are written by actual Workampers, and not just our staff writers."

The magazine ranges from 64-72 pages, and includes editorial, Workamper Opportunity ads, Workamper Viewpoint column, Classifieds, and much more.  The magazine is received by Workampers across the country whom have a subscription with Workamper News.

Workamper is a term copyrighted by Workamper News and is defined as individuals, couples, and families who have chosen a lifestyle that combines any kind of part-time or full-time work with RV camping.  A Workamper could be an employee, a business owner, or a volunteer.   With the help of Workamper News' magazine and web site tools, more and more people are becoming aware of this great way to make money while enjoying the freedom and beauty of our country.

The bulk of the magazine always has been and always will be advertising by employers ranging from part-time caretaker jobs in exchange for full hookup sites and other perks, to full-time careers in management.  The majority of the jobs are in places were RVers already want to be and usually have to pay to be there, such as RV resorts and campgrounds, national and state parks, wildlife preserves, guest ranches, theme parks, motorsports events, and a wide variety of other government agencies and businesses where housing and dependable workers are usually in short supply.
