The #13 Kansas Jayhawks (2-0) will be hitting the road for the first time this year as they travel to Raymond James Stadium to face the #19 South Florida Bulls (2-0) on Friday night at 8:00 p.m.
Both Kansas and South Florida are chasing BCS Bowls this year after impressive seasons last year that saw both schools reach #2 in the AP Top 25 at different stages. While the Jayhawks earned a trip to the Orange Bowl and beat Virginia Tech the Bulls faltered, dropping three straight and eventually reaching the Sun Bowl where they were hammered by Oregon.
Kansas has kept their offensive firepower with Todd Reesing back at quarterback and the junior has already thrown for 668 yards and six touchdowns in two games while Dezmon Briscoe has totaled 201 yards receiving and four TDs.
The Jayhawks aren’t all about offense though as they’ve allowed just ten points in their first two games.
South Florida is coming into Friday night’s game with a lot to prove after a less than impressive performance against UCF last weekend. While they escaped with a 31-24 victory in overtime they did fall two spots in the rankings for their effort.
