Hiccup Girl Jennifer Mee Arrested for Murder

Jennifer Mee, the Florida girl who gained national attention for having non-stop hiccups for several weeks in 2007, was arrested Sunday for murder. Mee, also known as ‘Hiccup Girl,’ was booked at the Pinellas County Jail on a first degree murder charge.

Mee, 19, Laron Raiford, 20, and Lamont Newton, 22, are accused of fatally shooting a man during an armed robbery Saturday night in St. Petersburg, Florida. Police Sgt. T.A. Skinner said Mee “lured the victim to the address… and Laron Raiford and Lamont Newton robbed him at gunpoint and took miscellaneous items from his person.”

The unidentified man was shot three times in the chest and once in the shoulder. "All three suspects admitted to their involvement and were charged with 1st degree felony murder," Skinner added.
