RadioShack Corporation (NYSE:RSH) plunged
7.41% to $21.11 on about 4.11 million shares. The company said Monday that its
third-quarter profit rose 23% to $46 million, or 37 cents a share, from $37.4
million, or 30 cents, a year earlier.
Comparable
sales increased 6.2%. Analysts surveyed by FactSet estimated the electronics
retailer would earn 35 cents a share on sales of $1.03 billion.
Over
the past 52-week, the stock had traded within the range of $15.22-$24. The
stock went up more than 7% year-to-date.
Lorillard
Inc. (NYSE:LO) surged 1.77% to $85.54. The company said
Monday its third-quarter net income grew by 17% to $274 million or $1.81 a
share, from $235 million, or $1.44 a share, in the year-ago period.
Wall Street analysts expected Lorillard to earn $1.65 a
share, according to a survey by FactSet Research.
The stock opened at $86.51 and traded within the range of
$83.06-$87.47. In the past one month of trading sessions, the stock went up
more than 5%. The stock created its fresh 52-week high of $87.47.
Invesco Ltd. (NYSE:IVZ)
went down 0.90% to $22.12. The company said on Monday that its third-quarter
net income jumped to $154.7 million, or 32 cents a share from $40.8 million, or
9 cents a share a year ago.
On
an adjusted basis, the company earned $185 million, or 39 cents a share in the
third quarter. Analysts polled by FactSet Research had expected the company to
earn 35 cents a share $917 million of revenue.
The 52-week range of the stock is $16.37-$24.
