Brett Favre Admits Sending Inappropriate Messages

NFL Quarterback Comes Clean

According to multiple reports, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre admitted on Tuesday to sending inappropriate voicemail messages to former New York Jets reporter Jenn Sterger. Favre is still denying, however, that he ever sent any lewd photos to Sterger, including pictures of his bare genitals.

According a Fox Sports source, Favre admitted to sending the messages during his meeting on Tuesday with NFL security. Now Favre is being investigated by the league for potentially violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Meanwhile, the NFL is still waiting for Sterger to decide whether she wants to say anything definitive regarding the claims that have caused all this drama. It all started earlier this month when a website called Deadspin.com posted a video featuring the messages and photos that were allegedly sent by Favre to Sterger.

"Jenn's willingness to cooperate with the NFL's investigation is not for sale," said Sterger's manager Phil Reese."This decision is ultimately Jenn's to make, and hers only."

And to make matters worse for Favre, he was criticized by Vikings head coach Brad Childress on Sunday after Minnesota's loss to the Green Bay Packers, Favre's former team. "You can't throw it to them, you've got to play within the confines of our system," Childress reportedly said of Favre. "Sometimes it's OK to punt the football. You can't give seven points going the other way, not in a game like this."

The NFL is expected to finalize the Favre investigation this week, but that deadline may still depend on whether or not Sterger finally decides to cooperate.
