There's more than one hairy Dawg walking around Athens these days. In an effort to motivate the team to not turnover the ball, Coach Richt implemented a 'No Turnovers, No Shave' policy. As long as his players win the turnover margin each week, they are allowed to grow out their facial hair. Richt says he hopes the team is "the nastiest looking bunch in America by the end of the year."
The Bulldogs have learned the hard way how important it is to come out on top in turnovers. UGA has lost the turnover battle in three out of its four losses this season.
And good news for Dawg fans- the policy seems to be working.
Georgia (4-4 overall, 3-3 SEC) forced 4 turnovers this weekend against the Wildcats of Kentucky while committing none. The Bulldogs now rank second in the SEC with a +7 turnover margin.
