US Stocks to Watch

Gilead Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:GILD) rose 1.10% to $39.54 after the company last week, reported that its third-quarter net income climbed 5 percent,topping topping analysts’ expectations.

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops and commercializes therapeutics. The Company has operations in North America, Europe and Australia.

Westell Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:WSTL) soared 10.20% to $2.81 after the company last week reported profit of $4.8 million or $0.07 per share in its fiscal second quarter. Revenue surged 8% year on year to $51.1 million.

Cash and cash equivalents increased by $8.3 million during the quarter, to $70.1 million.

Over the past 52-week, the stock traded within the range of $0.96-$2.81. The stock made its fresh 52-week high of $2.81.

International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) gained 0.12% to $139.84. The company announced last week that it has acquired Clarity Systems, a privately-held company based in Toronto, Canada.

Yesterday, Dow Jones reported that IBM Corporation has received a five year contract from India's Suzlon Energy Ltd. to offer business consulting services and manage its application development and maintenance needs. No financial details of the deal were immediately disclosed.

The stock opened at $140.42 and was trading within the range of $139.81-$141.40.
