International
Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) gained 0.12% to $139.84. The
company announced last week that it has acquired Clarity Systems, a
privately-held company based in Toronto, Canada.
Yesterday, Dow Jones reported that IBM Corporation has
received a five year contract from India's Suzlon Energy Ltd. to offer business
consulting services and manage its application development and maintenance
needs. No financial details of the deal were immediately disclosed.
The
stock opened at $140.42 and was trading within the range of $139.81-$141.40.
