SanDisk
Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) added 1.14% to $37.41. Last week, the
company posted its third quarter earnings that easily topped analyst estimates.
The company said its net income soars 39% to $322.1
million or $1.34 a share during the latest quarter, from $231.3 million, or 99
cents a share. On an adjusted net income came at $1.30 a share.
Revenue jumped to $1.23 billion, up from $935.2 million.
Analysts were looking the company to report $1.05 a
share, on revenue of $1.23 billion.
The stock went up more than 27% year-to-date.
Cirrus
Logic, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRUS) dropped 3.18% to $12.80. Last week, the
company reported fiscal second-quarter net income of 42 cents, or an adjusted
40 cents, against 10 cents a year earlier. A survey of analysts by FactSet was
estimating 42 cents.
Over the past 52-week, the stock had traded within the
range of $4.51-$21.20. At today`s closing market price, the market
capitalization of the company stood at $884.83 million.
PMC-Sierra,
Inc. (NASDAQ:PMCS) declined 1.07% and closed at $7.39. Late
Thursday, the company reported its third-quarter profit tumbled to $15.2
million or 6 cents a share, from $27.8 million, or 12 cents a share, in the
same quarter last year.
Revenue increased marginally to $162.3 million from
$130.9 million a year earlier. Analysts had forecast the chip company to report
earnings of 19 cents a share on revenue of $$164.6 million, according to a
consensus survey by FactSet Research.
