Yahoo!
Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) added 0.58% to $16.40. The company said last
week that its third-quarter net income jumped to $396.1 million or 29 cents a
share, from $186.1 million, or 13 cents a share in the same period last year.
Analysts polled by FactSet Research had expected Yahoo to
report third-quarter earnings of 15 cents a share, and $1.13 billion in net
revenue.
The stock went down more than 3% year-to-date.
Citrix
Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS) gained 0.95% to $61.38. The
company reported Thursday that its third quarter net income surged to $88
million, or 46 cents per share, from $53 million, or 29 cents per share, in the
prior-year quarter.
Analysts, on average, expected the company to report
earnings of 49 cents per share on revenue of $458.43 million. Looking ahead to
the fourth quarter, the company expects GAAP earnings in the range of 47 cents
to 49 cents per share.
Over the past 52-week, the stock had traded within the
range of $36.75-$71.93. At today`s closing market price, the market
capitalization of the company stood at $11.47 billion.
Compuware
Corporation (NASDAQ:CPWR) went up 0.20% and closed at $9.94. Last
week, the company reported revenues of $225.9 million in the second quarter of
fiscal 2011, up 3.6% year over year and up 9.4% sequentially. The revenues were
above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $224 million.
On a segment basis, revenues from software license fees
declined 9.0% to $45.6 million. Revenues from maintenance and subscription fees
came in at $122 million, up 11.2% from the year-earlier quarter. Revenues from
professional services increased 0.3% year-over-year to $58.3 million.
