Over the last 2 years, many young women tuned in to watch budding fashionista Whitney Port try to make it big in the Big Apple. But that journey is over- at least on camera it is.
The New York City spinoff of the L.A.-based "The Hills" has officially been canceled.
MTV confirmed the news this morning.
“‘The City’ will not be returning to MTV for season three,” an MTV spokesperson told the Hollywood Reporter.
“Whitney has been a part of our family for many years and we wish her and the cast the best, and hope to collaborate with them again.”
This comes after months of speculation that the show would not be returning.
Port spoke on air this morning with Ryan Seacrest about the future of the series. She says she is ready to move on as she is current working on other projects.
The show first aired in December 2008 and enjoyed two successful seasons.
