Kara DioGuardi to Judge New Singing Show
Former American Idol Judge to Judge Again
Just months after Kara DioGuardi was released by "American Idol", the Bravo network has announced that the 39-year-old songwriter and former "Idol" judge will be featured as a regular judge on an upcoming song-writing competition show called "Going Platinum".
"Hit songs are the backbone of the music industry, and as a publisher,
nothing excites me more than finding new songwriting talent," said DioGuardi. "I am happy to be a part of a show that helps up and coming
songwriters pursue their dreams, while giving the public a look into the
creative process."
According to a report from people.com, "The show will follow 12 musicians as they write music and lyrics for
different genres, from hip-hop to love songs to dance tracks. The winner
will receive a $100,000 prize, as well as music-publishing and
recording deals"
Going Platinum, which premieres in 2011, will be hosted by another singer/song-writer, Jewel.
