AP Top 25 College Football Scores: Chase Daniel Unstoppable as #6 Missouri Tigers Bomb Nvada Wolfpack

Chase Daniel was 23/28 passing for 405 yards and four touchdowns while Jeremy Maclin had 172 yards receiving and three TDs on six receptions, Chase Coffman had 127 yards receiving and a TD and Tommy Saunders had 100 yards receiving as the #6 Missouri Tigers (3-0) blasted the Nevada Wolfpack 69-17 on Saturday.

Derrick Washington put the Tigers on the board in the first quarter with a 59-yard touchdown run and on Missouri’s next possession Daniel wasted little time putting his squad back in the endzone as he hooked up with Maclin on an 80-yard TD pass on first down.

Colin Kaepernick scored on a one-yard run to bring Nevada back to within seven but that was as close as they would get as Daniel tossed two more TDs in the second quarter and Washington added his second rushing touchdown of the day as Missouri carried a 38-17 advantage into the half.

Things didn’t get any better for Nevada in the third quarter as Daniel continued to light up the Wolfpack secondary, pushing the Missouri lead to 45-17 on a 49-yard toss to the busy Maclin. Missouri mixed it up a bit later in the quarter as wide receiver Tommy Saunders used his arm instead of his hands to get the Tigers in the endzone, hitting Chase Coffman on a 32-yard TD.

While the offense of the Tigers couldn’t be stopped it was the defense that added the final points of the game as Jeff Gettys took an interception 27-yards for a TD.

Missouri will host Buffalo next week while Nevada will face UNLV in two weeks.
