NFL Scores Week 2: Trent Edwards Leads Buffalo Bills to Fourth Quarter Road Win Over Jacksonville Jaguars

Trent Edwards was 20/25 passing for 239 yards and a touchdown while Fred Jackson pulled down seven receptions for 83 yards and the Buffalo Bills (2-0) overcame a fourth quarter deficit to knock off the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2) 20-16 on Sunday.

While Marshawn Lynch was held to just 59 yards on the day 11 of those yards came on a first quarter touchdown to give the Bills a 7-0 lead. Both teams traded field goals in the second quarter and the score was 10-3 at the half.

Jacksonville looked to take control of the game in the second half as Maurice Jones-Drew scored from two-yards out and Josh Scobee added a 50-yard field goal to give the Jaguars a 13-10 advantage heading into the fourth.

Scobee then made it 16-10 in the fourth on his third field goal of the day but Edwards led the Bills back and gave Buffalo a 17-16 lead on a 7-yard toss to James Hardy with 4:10 left in the game. Buffalo’s defense then held Jacksonville to a three and out and Rian Lindell capped the scoring with a field goal with 29 seconds left on the clock.

Buffalo will host Oakland next week while Jacksonville travels to Indianapolis
