NFL Scores Week 2: Aaron Rodgers Tosses Three TDs as Green Bay Packers Knock Off Detroit Lions

Aaron Rodgers threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns, Greg Jennings had 167 yards receiving and the Green Bay Packers (2-0) had two huge interceptions returned for touchdowns in the fourth quarter to beat the Detroit Lions (0-2) 48-25 on Sunday.

All three of Rodgers touchdown passes came in the first half as he hooked up with James Jones on a 9-yard TD, Donald Driver on a 2-yarder and Jordy Nelson on a 29-yard strike as Green Bay built a 21-0 lead.

By the end of the third quarter it looked like Green Bay had the game in the bag with a 24-9 advantage but Jon Kitna hit Calvin Johnson on a pair of TDs and a safety sandwiched between the two tosses gave the Lions a 25-24 advantage midway through the fourth.

Mason Crosby put the Packers back in front with a 39-yard field goal and after Kitna was picked off on the Lions next possession Brandon Jackson gave the Packers a 34-25 lead on a 19-yard TD run.

Green Bay then intercepted Kitna on the lions next two possessions, each of those picks returned for touchdowns as Charles Woodson went 41 yards and Nick Collins returned his pick 42 yards.

Green Bay will host Dallas next week while Detroit travels to San Francisco.
