Amateur Putting Tour Announces Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities

The newly-launched U.S. Putting Tour announced today that it is offering corporate sponsorship opportunities to companies and brands looking for an affordable golf marketing vehicle that provides naming rights and grassroots reach to golfers.

The amateur putting tour will provide title or presenting sponsorship rights to the Tour and its 2011 national championship, which is scheduled for late September in California. Sponsorship rights for the initial year will run through the end of 2011.

"The U.S. Putting Tour presents companies that target the golf market with a unique value," said Jim Hartley, U.S. Putting Tour president. "Additionally, it's a groundfloor opportunity for a company or brand to align their name with this property from the outset."

The USPT will consist of a number of local qualifying putting events around the country throughout the year, in which winners qualify for the finals of the USPT National Championship. Any individual or club can hold USPT qualifying putting tournaments.

Male and female amateur golfers ages 13 and up are eligible to compete in the local qualifying events and in the national putting championship. Golfers can enter the USPT National Championship directly by going to the USPT website.
