BB&T
Corporation (NYSE:BBT) surged 1.47% to $22.83. Janney
Montgomery Scott upgraded BB&T Corporation to Buy with a price target of
$28.
Last week, the company on Thursday said third-quarter net
income available to common shareholders totaled $210 million, or 30 cents a
share, compared with $152 million, or 23 cents a share, in the same period in
2009.
A survey of analysts by FactSet Research had produced a
consensus earnings forecast of 25 cents a share.
The stock went down more than 10% year-to-date.
American Electric Power Company, Inc.
(NYSE:AEP) slid 0.05% to $36.64. Goldman upgraded
American Electric Power from Neutral to Buy.
