Sarah Palin: Tina Fey was “Quite Funny” on SNL

Sarah Palin laughed at being parodied by Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. A spokesperson for the Republican vice presidential hopeful said the Alaskan governor watched the SNL season premiere, hosted by eight time Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, from the campaign plane on her way to Denver Saturday night.

“She thought it was quite funny, particularly because she once dressed up as Tina Fey for Halloween,” Palin’s spokesperson Tracey Schmitt said.

In the skit, Fey dressed up as Palin and appeared with Amy Poehler as Hillary Clinton. They said the skit was a “non-partisan message” focused on sexism issues that surrounds the presidential election. Fey made fun of Palin’s views on foreign affairs and global warming.

“I can see Russia from my house!,” Fey said, making fun of Palin’s inexperience with international affairs, as Poehler’s Clinton bragged about her experience. 

As for global warming, Fey’s Palin said she believes it “is just God huggin’ us closer.”
