Zoran
Corporation (NASDAQ:ZRAN) jumped 6.63% to $6.59 after
late Monday the company surprisingly said now it expects to report a loss of 39
cents to 43 cents a share on its
December quarter on revenue
ranging from $60 million to $65 million, way below the analysts estimates of 6
cents a share on revenue of $95.2.
The stock went down more than 40% year-to-date.
American Capital Ltd. (NASDAQ:ACAS)
surged
1.76% to $6.94 after it made its fresh one-year high of $7.12.
The
stock opened at $6.82 and has a 52-week range of $2.31-$7.12. The stock went up
more than 176% year-to-date.
Altera Corporation (NASDAQ:ALTR)
jumped 2.34% to $31.04. Last week, the company reported its third-quarter net
income more than trebled to $217.5 million, or 69 cents a share, from a profit
of $56.7 million, or 19 cents a share, in the same quarter last year.
Analysts
had expected the chip company to report earnings of 64 cents a share, on
revenue of $524.8 million, according to a consensus survey by FactSet Research.
