Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE:TER) slumped 9.17% to $10.80 with over 8.10 million shares. The company said Wednesday its third-quarter net income jumped to $147.3 million or 66 cents a share, from $6.7 million, or 4 cents a share in the same period last year.

Analysts polled by FactSet Research had expected Teradyne to report earnings of 79 cents a share, and $508 million in revenue.
The PMI Group, Inc. (NYSE:PMI) fell 9.25% to $3.73. The company reported a third-quarter loss of $281.1 million, or $1.74 a share, versus a loss of $93.2 million, or $1.13 a share, in the year-ago period.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters had forecast a net loss of 59 cents a share, on average.
Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ:OCLR) slumped 37.13% to $8.60. For the first quarter ended Oct. 2, the company posted net income of $0.4 million, or 1 cent a share, compared with $4 million, or 11 cents a share, in the year-ago period.
The company said its outlook for the December quarter is cautious and forecast revenue of $116-$124 million for the second quarter.
The latest quarterly results include a loss of $3.6 million on foreign currency translation. Excluding items, it earned 6 cents a share.
