Tony Romo Might Be Out For Season

Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones has said that Cowboys QB Tony Romo, who recently broke his clavicle, might be out for the rest of the season. Jones says that whether or not Romo will play depends on 2 factors: 1) how long it takes for Romo to recover and 2) how well the Cowboys perform with QB Jon Kitna while Romo is out.

Romo is expected to miss at least six to eight weeks due to a broken left collarbone he received during a Monday night loss to the New York Giants. With Romo out, many fans and analysts are speculating that the Cowboys, who currently have a 1-5 season record, have basically lost any chance at making the playoffs this year.

"I wouldn't be presumptuous enough to know how fast he's going to heal," Jones said. "The faster he heals, the better I like it. We will be weighing that aspect of where he is in the healing process relative to any risk that you might take with him playing."
