A Murder Mystery is a party game wherein one of the guests plays a murderer, and the other attendees assume roles as friends, enemies and colleagues of the recently deceased. Through a search for clues and the process of questioning other guests in character, the players must determine who among them the criminal is.  Many B&Bs have been staging murder mystery weekends for years, and they can be extremely elaborate and a lot of fun.  A few weeks before your stay, you'll receive an information packet that describes your 'role' in the mystery, and that role might be the murderer!  Murder Mystery Games are usually built around a theme like 'The Roaring 20's' or 'Ancient Rome'. Costumes are encouraged and often provided. 

Over the course of the mystery, you'll have a chance to interact with other guests and the innkeepers in character, searching the inn and the local area for clues to 'Whodunit'.   At the end of the weekend, everyone gets a chance to out the murderer with the evidence they've uncovered.  The weekend usually ends with a fancy dinner and prizes for the best actors involved.
