The Atlanta Hawks and their new coach Larry Drew are off to as good as start as a team could hope for 3 games 3 wins.
John Wall led all scorers in his second NBA game to tally up 28 points on the night in 42 minutes. The Rookie Wall hit better than 50% from the field going 9 for 17 while dishing out 9 assists. The Wizards were without Gilbert Arenas again.
The Hawks were led down the stretch by Joe Johnson who scored 14 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Hawks in outscoring the Wizards 29-25 and win 99 to 95. The teams were even after three but Johnson's 14 seems to have made the difference.
The Hawks are now 3 and 0 after winning their home opener.
The Wizards will be home Tuesday night to host the Philadelphia 76ers. Both teams are win-less with the Sixers losing to the Pacers last night by 99-86.
