The Hornets took a 16 point lead into the 4th led by no other than their PG Chris Paul who tallied up 25 points on the night to go with his 5 assists.

The Spurs dropped to 1 and 1on the year. They were led by Manu Ginobili with 23 points. The Spurs outscored the Hornets in the final 12 minutes 30-23 but it wasn't enough. The Hornets in the 2nd and 3rd quarter outscored the Spurs by 23 giving them a comfortable lead which proved to be enough when the last seconds ticked off the clock.

Tim Duncan was held to 7 points on 2 for 10 shooting.
