Charlie Sheen Back on Drugs

Tuesday morning, officials were called to the Plaza in New York. Upon arrival they were reportedly greeted by an alarming sight, actor Charlie Sheen passed out on his bed, naked with an escort held captive in the closet. Most remember the crack cocaine fueled, domestic violence story just last Christmas involving Sheen and his now ex-wife, Brook Mueller. The hope that Sheen had turned over a new leaf appears false. While many fans are shocked by these reports of cocaine use, alcohol, a trashed room and an escort, the most alarming is that Sheen’s ex-wife Denise Richards and their two daughters were in the room next door. Despite the wild reports, Charlie Sheen insists he is fine and the story is being blown out of proportion. Drug and alcohol counselors disagree, and some insist that the only way Charlie will beat his addiction is by enrolling in and completing a long term drug rehab program.

Long term rehabilitation programs are an excellent approach to the effects of drug and alcohol abuse. Narconon Louisiana is a 3 to 6 month program that developed a method of handling addiction that allows 76% of their graduates to remain sober two years after completion. For people like Charlie Sheen, who has struggled with addiction most of his adult life, enrollment in a long-term treatment center is vital. Treatment programs, like Narconon Louisiana, allow a person to determine why they started using drugs and/or alcohol in the first place.

Despite the commonly held belief that addiction is a disease, one of the main reasons Narconon Louisiana is so effective is because they use a different modality. Their non-traditional, drug-free approach has allowed hundreds of people to shed their addictions and lead happy, productive, drug-free lives.

Of the many components to the Narconon Louisiana curriculum, one of the most beneficial portions being the New Life Detoxification program. Clients engage in several sessions in a dry heat sauna. The sauna, partnered with a vitamin regimen and supervised by trained Narconon Louisiana staff, allows clients to eliminate stored toxins and drug residues that are directly related to cravings. Those clients are then able to partake in the rest of the program without the ever-present cravings that are so often responsible for relapses.

Charlie Sheen is not alone in his struggle to attain sobriety. Thousands of people have fallen prey to drugs and alcohol. Contact Narconon Louisiana for immediate help at 866-422-4650. Do not hesitate, a drug-free life can be achieved.
