Atlanta Florist Carithers Flowers provides charity support for United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta

Carithers Flowers offers the “Helping Hands” fundraising program and generates significant charitable contributions to Wellstar of Atlanta, Susan G. Komen, The American Cancer Society and The United Way.

Carithers Flowers is committed to giving back to the community. Each year, the Carithers organization creates and donates beautiful floral arrangements and provides fundraising support for many groups in and around the Atlanta, Georgia area. Over the past few years, Carithers has made sizable contributions, generally in exceess of $100,000 in products, services, and monies.

Carithers Flowers is continually looking for ways to increase their impact and recently expanded their signature “Helping Hands” program to that end. “Helping Hands” is a unique online fundraising program specifically designed to generate revenue for local schools, churches, and local and national non-profit organizations.

Charles Carithers, owner of Carithers Flowers, is the architect of the “Helping Hands” program. Organizations such as Wellstar of Atlanta, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the American Cancer Society and United Way have all signed up and taken advantage of this wonderful fundraising opportunity. Sign-up and participation in the “Helping Hands” program is free to all confirmed non-profit charitable organizations.  

Through “Helping Hands”, Carithers Flowers has already generated $282.00 from 141 floral arrangement orders for The United Way of Metro Atlanta. The program is simple and straight forward. Each time an order is placed with each Carithers Flowers, the customer is given the opportunity to direct $2.00 from their purchase directly to United Way or to another charitable organization that has signed up to participate.

United Way of Metro Atlanta partners with nonprofits, community leaders, businesses, and the legislature to serve the 13-county metro region of Atlanta. The United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta coordinates with the communities of Butts, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Cowetta, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding, and Rockdale counties in areas of education, income, health, and homelessness.
