Initial election results show Republican Jan Brewer will likely be re-elected as governor of Arizona. She beat Democrat candidate Terry Goddard with 56% of votes from 13% of precincts reporting. Brewer garnered approval from voters earlier this year after signing a tough immigration law.
2008 Republican Presidential nominee John McCain will likely serve a fifth term in the Senate with 59% percent of votes from 23% of precincts reporting. He beat Democrat Rodney Glassman, a former Tucson city councilman.
