If Moss decides that he doesn't want to play for the Titans, the team would send him give him 5 days until he is placed on the reserve/left squad list, which would put Moss out for the rest of the season. According to the report, "Moss' status for next year would then be determined by terms of the new collective bargaining agreement."
"We had an opportunity to upgrade our offense and Randy has been a tremendous threat where ever he has been. We will bring him up to speed as quickly as possible," said Titans coach Jeff Fisher.
The Titans were the 22nd team on the waiver claims list, but no other team filed a claim for Moss, reportedly.
The Titans will be Moss's third NFL team this season. He started off the season playing for the New England Patriots, with whom he had been playing since 2007. Then he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings for a trade pick. Then, after making some rude comments about a local Minnesota restaurant, displaying some lackluster in-game performance, and making controversial remarks during media interviews, Moss was waived by the Vikings on Monday, with Vikings coach saying that Moss was not a good fit for the team.
