Those who missed the spectacle of “NASCAR on Water” when the Bright House 2010 Clearwater Super Boat National Championships sped into town October 3rd will have a chance to watch boats equipped with F-16 canopies reaching speeds of up to 200 mph just off the shore of Clearwater Beach vying for the title of National Championship.
The races will be aired on Bright House Networks beginning November 1st with repeat opportunities for fans to tune in.
The schedule is as follows:
• Monday, November 1st at 9:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, November 3rd at 5:00 p.m.
• Saturday, November 6th at 6:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, November 10th at 5:00 p.m.
All airings will be shown on Channel 47 analog, 1147 HD and will be broadcast to the entire Bright House Networks footprint, covering the 1-4 corridor from Clearwater-St. Petersburg through Orlando, Volusia, Flagler and Brevard Counties, which means more exposure for Clearwater Beach.
The Bright House 2010 Clearwater Super Boat National Championships Festival boosted the economy of Clearwater without spending a time of tax payer money.
The race had an estimated economic impact of $7 million and brought out over 100,000 people during the three day festival, including 5,200 spectator boats the day of the races. Proceeds from the race benefitted three charities: The Clearwater Community Sailing Center, Sailability, and the Make a Difference Fishing Tournament.
