A 19-year-old boy dressed as a breathalyzer machine for Halloween was arrested for DUI early Monday morning in Lincoln, Nebraska. Officers pulled over Matthew Nieveen after spotting him swerving and driving erratically. Nieveen’s blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit. Empty beer cans and a bottle of vodka were found in his vehicle. The teen was arrested for driving while intoxicated and being a minor in possession of alcohol.
The police report noted Nieveen’s costume and said he had attended a Halloween party prior to his arrest. The report also said Nieveen’s eyes were glassy and his speech was slurred. Monday’s arrest was his second for driving under the influence.
This is not the first time someone has been arrested for DUI while wearing a Breathalyzer costume. A man wearing the costume was cited for DUI in Oxford, Ohio last year.
