Unemployment Fluctuates in Weak Economy

Unemployment assistance applications rose in the last two weeks of October despite a decline earlier in the month. Although the rate of claims have dropped a few times this year the outlook is grim. At least 450,000 claims for unemployment benefits have been the constant for most of 2010. Authorities say that the rate must fall below 425,000 to indicate significant job gains. The US economy has been in dire straits for a few years and growth is slow. With no new jobs being created and over 15 million unemployed the financial strain on individuals and families makes seeking outside assistance crucial.

Being jobless not only affects a person economically but also their personal lives. Spouses and children are greatly impacted as unemployment benefits are a fraction of the income generated by working.  Financial issues are one of the common reasons for the demise of a marriage, although infidelity is sighted as the number one cause. Economic issues cause extra stress on individuals and resentment for the unemployed partner greatly affects the strength of a marriage. Money issues cause individuals to be emotionally volatile.  The economic ills of a marriage can be resolved in some instances but unemployment can change a person so drastically that reconciliation is not possible.

If economic issues in your marriage cannot be resolved then a divorce may be your only solution. A divorce attorney can guide the estranged parties through the complex process of separation and marriage dissolution. A divorce lawyer specializes in the multifaceted procedures of obtaining a divorce. Divorcing couples have many things to work out as they leave one another including dividing of properties and custody issues where children or pets are involved. Hiring a divorce lawyer can ease some of the economic and emotional woes of divorce.
