Eugenie Blanchard, Oldest Person In The World, Dies at 114

The oldest person in the world has died. Eugenie Blanchard died in a hospital on the Caribbean island of Saint Barthelemy Thursday at the age of 114. Blanchard was born in 1896 on Saint Barthelemy. She moved to Curacao and became a nun in 1920. Blanchard was 60 when she returned to Saint Bathelemy, where she spent the past 3 decades in a nursing home.

Eunice Sanborn, also 114, is now the world’s oldest person. She lives in Jacksonville, Texas.
