Lil Wayne Free from Riker’s Island

Rapper Lil Wayne, nicknamed Weezy was released from prison today after serving eight months for possession of a loaded gun on his tour bus. The rap artist has had a very turbulent personal life Tons of fans gathered at the prison to welcome him back to free world.  The rapper’s ‘Free Weezy ‘  t-shirt  enterprise launched  while incarcerated has donned numerous hip hop stars. Along with his fashion ventures the star had a Number 1 hit on Billboard.  Now free, the musician plans to celebrate freedom with a huge bash in Miami. The guest list includes several of hip hop’s megastars.

In our country over 1.4 million men and 105,000 women are incarcerated each year. Prisoners leave behind spouses and children. Marriages for inmates end at a rate of 80% for men and 100% for women. Families of prisoners are left behind to deal with life without their loved ones. For the married issues of abandonment, loneliness and lack of physical and emotional intimacy wreak havoc on the relationship. Most marriages don’t survive beyond the first year of incarceration. The decision to leave an imprisoned spouse can be hard but a divorce may be needed. A free spouse may not be able to put their lives on hold for years. They may find it better to move on.

Divorce is never easy especially if one of the parties is in jail. Retaining a divorce lawyer will assure an easier road through the process. The prison system has extremely rigid visiting policy. Access to the prisoner for necessary legalities is difficult unless you have a divorce lawyer. No one wants to leave a person while they are down but need dictates a difficult decision. Allow a divorce lawyer to deal with the practicalities of divorce so you can worry about your feelings.
