Ronald McDonald House of Kentuckiana to be Charity Partner for ACO World Championships

American Cornhole Organization welcomes Ronald McDonald House of Kentuckiana as a charity partner for the ACO World Championships.

The event will be held February 3-6, 2011 at the Horseshoe Casino & Hotel near Louisville, Kentucky. Spectators can watch up to 350 of the top cornhole players in the country, as ranked by ACO, compete for titles in six unique cornhole tournaments.

“We’re thrilled to have Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana tied into our event ,” ACO President/CEO Frank Geers said. “It’s an important organization providing vital help to families with children who need medical care in the Greater Louisville area.”

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana will be the title charity to “The Superhole” – a $1,000 guaranteed luck of the draw tournament taking place February 6 during the championships.

Since 1984, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana have provided a "home away from home" for families of children being treated at area medical facilities. Support from area businesses, volunteers and individual donations enable RMHCK to provide families with Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Frazier Rehab Institute, Norton Suburban Hospital and Kosair Children's Hospital.  RMHCK also provides grants to local children's charities and scholarships to area students.  Since its inception, RMHCK has served over 27,000 families in need.  

Established in 2005 and headquartered in Milford, Ohio, American Cornhole Organization is the governing body of the sport of cornhole, offering sanctioned products, official rules and comprehensive information about relevant events.
