Zoo Closer to Being Smoke-Free

Funding may be lost if zoo continues to allow smokers

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo may be in danger of losing funding if they do not ban smoking.  Zoo officials presented their case to the parks commissioner, saying that an unnamed agency would no longer work with the zoo if smoking was still allowed in the park.

Many Ohio zoos have already banned smoking, including Cincinnati, Toledo and Akron.
