AP Top 25 College Football Schedule: #18 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Take on #24 Florida State Seminoles

The #24 Florida State Seminoles will host ACC rivals, the #18 Wake Forest Demon Deacons in Tallahassee on Saturday at 7pm.

The Seminoles are back into the AP Top 25 for the first time since their last game against Wake Forest last October. FSU came into the game ranked #21, but lost 24-21 to an unranked Demon Deacons team.

Wake Forest also beat Florida State the previous year, 30-0 in Tallahassee for its first win in this series since 1973 and the Seminoles' only home shutout in coach Bobby Bowden's 33 years at the school.

A win Saturday and the Demon Deacons will join Clemson (2005-07) as the only ACC teams to beat FSU three years in a row.

Florida State enters the game on an offensive tear, outscoring Football Championship Subdivision teams Western Carolina and Chattanooga by a combined score of 115-7. In addition, FSU quarterback Christian Ponder leads the ACC in passing efficiency.

However, offense is not just the claim to fame. The Seminoles currently have the nation's No. 1 total defense and No. 2 scoring and rushing defense.

Wake Forest is led by quarterback Riley Skinner, who is arguably the best QB in the ACC. He will look to his favorite target Demir Boldin to get the offense going for WF.
