NFL Week 9 Schedule November 07, 2010 Michael Vick leads the Eagles against the Colts

Michael Vick leads the Eagles against the Colts

Tampa Bay at Atlanta 1:00 PM Georgia Dome

The Buccaneers roll into Atlanta for a showdown to determine first place in the NFC South.  Falcons receiver Roddy White has been having an MVP caliber season and should continue to produce against a Tampa Bay defense with a league leading 14 interceptions.  The game can be seen on FOX.

Chicago at Buffalo 1:00 PM Rogers Centre

The struggling Bears travel to Buffalo to face the winless Bills.  The Bears started the season 3-0 and gained plenty of attention, but the last few weeks have been hard.  The offensive line has had trouble keeping quarterback Jay Cutler on his feet and the Bills play has improved dramatically of late.  The game can be seen on FOX.

New England at Cleveland 1:00 PM Cleveland Browns Stadium

Much of the focus around this game has revolved around the coaches.  Bill Belichick began his career in Cleveland and the situation ended poorly.  So poorly in fact that the Browns became the Ravens.  Belichick returns to Cleveland to face his former assistant Eric Mangini, now the Browns’ head coach.  The game can be seen on CBS.

NY Jets at Detroit 1:00 PM Ford Field
New York looked bad last week losing to Green Bay 9 – 0.  This week should be a chance to get back on track against a Detroit team that has played very strong but had trouble coming finding wins.  The talented Lions squad is led by quarterback Matt Stafford and receiver Calvin Johnson.  The game can be seen on CBS.

New Orleans at Carolina 1:00 PM Bank of America Stadium

The Saints should have an easy week against the NFC South cellar-dweller.   Look for them to ride the momentum of last week’s victory over the AFC stalwart Steelers.  Despite Carolina’s record, they always give the Saints a good game when they come to Charlotte.  The game can be seen on FOX.

Miami at Baltimore 1:00 PM M&T Bank Stadium

The Dolphins are undefeated on the road.  The Ravens are undefeated at home.  This matchup should prove to be a showdown for the ages.  Brandon Marshall, Dolphin’s receiver, will be an interesting matchup for the Raven’s talented and prepared secondary.  The game can be seen on CBS.

San Diego at Houston 1:00 PM Reliant Stadium

The Chargers currently have the number one ranked offense and defense in the NFL.  They also have a 3-5 record to show for it.  They travel to Houston and face a tough Houston team that has underperformed as of late.  Mario Williams should give the Texans pressure off the edge and pressure Chargers’ quarterback Phillip Rivers into making some bad throws.  The game can be seen on CBS.

Arizona at Minnesota 1:00 PM FOX   Metrodome

The Vikings need to get on the field and play football after a season of off the field drama.  The dismissal of Randy Moss, ongoing Brett Favre saga and coach Brad Childress’s position have all provided distractions to the team.  Arizona has had quarterback troubles this season, but Derek Anderson should get the start and play well this week.  The game can be seen on FOX

NY Giants at Seattle 4:05 PM Qwest Field

Though the Giants have only one more win that the Seahawks this year, they are not worried about their upcoming trip across the country.  Seattle has been hurt by injuries recently, missing both their starting quarterback and defensive anchor, Red Bryant.  The game can be seen on FOX.

Indianapolis at Philadelphia 4:15 PM Lincoln Financial Field

The Colts are missing several all-star players but keep finding ways to put points on the board.  The Eagles have had a quarterback rotation all season that has led them to a 4-3 start and one of the most exciting offensive attacks in the league.  This week Michael Vick returns to the starting position and should provide a spark after being injured a few weeks ago.  The game can be seen on CBS.

Kansas City at Oakland 4:15 PM Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

The Chiefs and Raiders are two teams that have made a turnaround this year.  After spending years at the bottom of the barrel in the NFL, they both have at least .500 records.  The Chiefs will have to stop a surging Raiders offense that has outscored opponents 92-17 in the last two games.  The game can be seen on CBS.

Dallas at Green Bay 8:20 PM Lambeau Field

Two trendy preseason picks meet in the middle of the season and only Green Bay has a legitimate chance.  The Cowboys have been a disappointment all season, only managing to win one game this year.  Though they have a star-studded roster, the team has let turnovers and penalties beat them.  The Packers had been hurt, but with a win over the Jets last week, are playing like experts thought they would at the beginning of the season.  The game can be seen on NBC.
