We heard our callers loud and clear without any static or hiss, and we thought their voices sounded clean and natural. On their end, callers reported almost no background noise, and said our voice was very clear and sharp, as if we weren't on a cell phone. The one downside was the speakerphone, which they said made us sound harsh. Strangely, they said the pitch of our voice sounded lower when on speakerphone.
We enjoyed the good EV-DO coverage with the BlackBerry Style. We loaded the CNET mobile page in 20 seconds and the full CNET front page in around 55 seconds. We downloaded a 1MB app from BlackBerry App World in a minute. We experienced only a few seconds' buffering time with YouTube videos as well. Even though the Style only has a 624MHz processor, we suffered no performance problems when switching or launching applications. The BlackBerry Style has a rated battery life of 4.5 hours talk time and 10.5 days standby time."

"As was expected, the BlackBerry Style was a great performer in the call quality arena, giving us crystal clear audio with minimal to no background noise. BlackBerrys are at the top of the totem pole in this department, so it was no surprise to us that the BlackBerry Style sounded great in nearly any environment. Battery life was also very good, lasting throughout the entire day and into the next after a full testing. Rest assured, we can always count on BlackBerry when it comes to voice quality and battery life.Summary: Excellent phone for an excellent price. ($70) in my case. In the market for a BRAND new Smartphone? overall, the BlackBerry Style is a winner. The BlackBerry Style was a totally different phone, and one we would actually consider.
