Inn-to-Inn Holiday Cookie and Candy Tour Set for Eureka Springs

A spoonful of sugar goes a long way in the Ozark Mountains of northwestern Arkansas

It’s a sugar high like no other. More than half a dozen bed and breakfasts in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, have teamed up to welcome revelers homemade holiday cookies and treats (and recipes) as they wander inn-to-inn.

Entering its fourth year, the annual Sweet Treats Tour will take place between 1-6 pm on Saturday, December 11th.  Organized by the Alliance of Better Bed & Breakfasts, the holiday tour is popular not only for the treats but for the tidings. The participating inns go above and beyond to the deck the halls – and every other nook and cranny in their bed and breakfasts. The quaint Victorian town nestled in the Ozark Mountains of northwestern Arkansas provides a picturesque backdrop and, in many ways, a life-like version of the Candy Land board game.

Eight different B&Bs will be participating this year, sampling their favorite homemade cookie and candy recipes. Two treats per person will be available at each inn and each property has coordinated to serve a different flavored good. Tickets cost $20 per person but are included to those reserving a special tour package. Self-guided maps will be provided so guests may visit the inns at their own pace; all of the inns are on or close to local trolley routes. Tickets are limited to 250 visitors.

While there may not be a Candy Cane Forest or Gum Drop Mountain per se, the bed and breakfasts on the trail offer various amenities, mountain views, and guide visitors step-by-step toward a sugary loot.
