Five children died Monday night in a fire in Marion County, Florida. The fire broke out at a home sometime after 10 p.m. Marion County Fire Rescue arrived at the scene within 8 minutes of receiving the emergency call.
Authorities say three people were able to escape the blaze. A neighbor helped pull one woman from the house. "The whole house was engulfed in flames. And I heard the mom yell, 'My babies, my babies are inside.’ It is very, very sad because I wanted to get all the babies out. My kids play with their kids,” the neighbor told CNN affiliate WKMG.
The children included two girls, ages 6 and 12, and three boys, ages 8, 13 and 15.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
