Rowdy Party Results in Teen’s Death

Saturday night a house party in Douglasville, GA ended in violence. Bobby Tillman a senior at Chapel Hill High was brutally beaten by three of his classmates.  An argument erupted between one male and one female, the aftermath of which resulted in death. The male suspect refused to hit the girl so he vowed to beat up the next male to walk by and that was Bobby Tillman, who was unaware of what was happening to him. Three much larger boys beat and stomped the 125lb boy who suffered fatal injuries within minutes. Attendants of the party were held for questioning while the police determined who was guilty of the brutal beating. The three young men are being held without bail. Police haven’t reported what part alcohol played in the tragedy but it was undoubtedly present.

For the teenager the house party is the easiest way to encounter and consume alcohol. Three out of four high school students will drink alcohol before they graduate. Alcohol is notorious for contributing to poor decision making. With 75% of teenagers drinking mistakes will be made. Often the lowered inhibitions lead to fighting and drunk driving, both can potentially result in tragedy.  Most house parties don’t end in violence. However, when the party is over a teenager may decide to drive home.  Adults like teenagers make bad decisions and decide to drive while impaired.

Whether you are and adult or a teen, a DUI will negatively impact your life. If caught while driving impaired obtaining a DUI Lawyer is wise. One bad decision can have severe consequences. The crackdown on driving under the influence has resulted in tough penalties. Without a DUI lawyer you could lose your license and have heavy fines to pay. Dealing with the court system is complex and requires the assistance of a DUI Lawyer.
