AP Top 25 College Football Scores: Knowshon Moreno Runs #3 Georgia Bulldogs Past Arizona State Sun Devils

Knowshon Moreno rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns, Matt Stafford threw for 285 yards and a TD and freshman sensation A.J. Green had 156 yards receiving and a score as the #3 Georgia Bulldogs (4-0) blasted the Arizona State Sun Devils (2-2) 27-10 on Saturday night.

After a scoreless first quarter the Bulldogs did most of their damage in the second as Moreno scored on runs of 9-yards and 3-yards to give Georgia a 4-0 lead. Thomas Webster put the Sun Devils on the board with a 25-yard field goal with just over two minutes left in the half but Stafford marched the Dogs down the field and found Green on a 14-yard toss with 41 seconds left for a 21-3 halftime lead.

Arizona State managed to cut their deficit to 21-10 early in the third quarter after Rudy Carpenter hit Andrew Pettes on a 6-yard TD but the Bulldogs defense clamped down the rest of the game and Blair Walsh added a pair of field goals to provide the only other scoring for Georgia.

The Bulldogs defense limited the Sun Devils to just 4 yards rushing on 19 attempts while the Georgia offense chewed up 461 yards of total offense.

Georgia will face Alabama next week while ASU looks to bounce back against California in two weeks.
