Breakthrough hip hop artist Wiz Khalifa whose real name is Cameron Jabril Thomaz was held on felony drug charges Monday night after a show on the Eastern Carolina campus. The 22 year old is notorious for his love of cannabis and has written numerous songs about pot. While on patrol, campus police smelled a strong odor of marijuana wafting from the hip hop star’s tour bus as the musicians were performing. After his show, Wix and his band mates were approached by officers requesting to search the tour bus. The rapper consented to the search; on the bus the police discovered 60 grams of marijuana and smoking paraphernalia. Thomaz was released on 300,000 dollar bail.
