Wendy’s customers- prepare yourselves for a big change.
As of today, the Atlanta-based fast-food chain began selling new “natural-cut” fries, which will feature potato skin and a sprinkling of sea salt. It’s the first redesign of the company’s fries in 41 years.
According the chain, the changes are designed to make the fries hotter and crispier while also enhancing potato flavor and texture. Wendy’s also claims the skin-on cut and sea salt seasoning on the new fries is a first for national fast-food chains.
The new fries will be made 100% from Russet potatoes and will be cooked in oil that contains no allergens and no trans fat.
They will cost just as much and come in the same serving sizes as the current fries.
