Florida’s Moses Jenkins got some good news this week.
The NCAA has approved a 5th year of eligibility for the Gators cornerback. Florida coach Urban Meyer announced the news this afternoon is his weekly press conference.
"He's going to come back for another year," Meyer said.
This comes after the player missed a large part of the last two seasons with injuries. Jenkins received a medical hardship waiver last season after suffering from a concussion that kept him out of the final 10 games. He then made his return in Florida’s first game of the season, only to miss the next 7 games due to a hyper-extended elbow.
Jenkins returned to the field last Saturday against Vanderbilt and is expected to play against South Carolina this weekend.
The senior cornerback has 24 career tackles and one sack.
