Stock Falls After Announcing Dividends

Lancaster Colony Corp. (NASDAQ:LANC) went up 1.68% to $51.42. The company announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of 33 cents per share on the company's common stock, marking 48 consecutive years of increasing regular cash dividends.

The dividend will be payable December 31, 2010 to shareholders of record on December 10, 2010. As of the record date for today's annual shareholder meeting, there were 27,992,229 common shares outstanding.

Cabot Corporation (NYSE:CBT) added 0.72% to $34.89. The company announced that the Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.18 per share on all outstanding shares of the Corporation's common stock. The dividend is payable on December 10, 2010 to stockholders of record at the close of business on November 26, 2010.

The stock went up more than 33% year-to-date. At current market price, the market capitalization of the company stands at $2.28 billion.

Nalco Holding Company (NYSE:NLC) jumped 0.50% to $30.04. The company announced that the Company's Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend payment of $0.035 per share payable on January 5, 2011, to shareholders of record on December 15, 2010.   

The stock opened at $30 and is trading within the range of $29.71-$30.13.
