Nadal Praised by Tennis Greats
Rafa Nadal Might Be the Greatest?
While speaking at a sports conference in Doha, McEnroe said, "There is an argument to be made that Rafael Nadal may be the greatest player eventually, even possibly now."
Federer has more major titles than does Nadal, but, interestingly, Nadal is 14-7 in direct matchups against the Swiss tennis great. Nadal also has two titles that have eluded Federer, an Olympic singles Gold medal and a Davis Cup title. Not to mention that Nadal won this year's U.S. Open, while Federer was eliminated in the semi-finals.
Former Swedish tennis great Bjorn Borg also said that "Rafa has the chance to be the greatest player" if he stays healthy, but Borg thinks that Federer is still the greatest.
