Lakers End 2-Game Losing Streak

Lakers Defeat Bucks 118-107

The Los Angeles Lakers ended a 2-game losing streak on Tuesday night by defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 118-107.

Kobe Bryant led the Lakers in scoring with 31 points; he also contributed 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Pau Gasol led the team in rebounds and blocks with 10 and 3, respectively.

Brandon Jennings matched Bryant's scoring with 31 points, also leading his team in assists and steals, with 6 and 1 respectively. Drew Gooden added 22 points and 13 rebounds for Milwaukee.

Shannon Brown, who says that his goal is be named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year, played a key role in the Lakers victory, scoring 21 points, 16 of them in the fourth quarter.

"I'm going to keep working and we're going to keep winning," said Brown. "It's more about doing what I've got to do to help my team win."

"He's even a better shooter than he was last year," said Bryant about Brown. "You see him now making plays off the dribble, making plays for others, passing off the dribble. He continues to get better. This is just the beginning for him."

"Shannon was so efficient out there for them. Seven of nine from the field, 21 points, 21 minutes, zero turnovers coming off the bench; that's an efficient game coming off the bench," said Gooden, Brown's former teammate in Cleveland and Chicago.

The Lakers are now 9-2 for the season, the Bucks 5-6.
